Nuwakot(RSS):Works are going on in full swing to complete the construction of Trishuli-Kathmandu transmission line within the next ten months.
The project which aims to connect electricity generated in Nuwakot and Rasuwa districts to the national grid was begun on February 26, 2012. Of late, construction works have been accelerated. The 220-KV double circuit transmission line will have a total of 142 towers and foundations of 110 towers have been already prepared,
according to Upper Trishuli 3 ‘A’ hydropower project’s deputy manager engineer Satyaram Jyakhwa. To date, there is a 55 percent work progress in the construction of transmission line. As per the third deadline given to complete the transmission line project, works need to be completed by coming February 12. The approximate total project cost is Rs 2.5 billion and the Upper Trishuli 3 ‘A’ owns the responsibility for its monitoring and management.
